Now, more than ever, we are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of mental health and wellbeing. It impacts all areas of our lives from the way we relate to others, handle stress and make decisions. Our emotional psychological and social wellbeing are all determined by our mental health.
Counselling can help you to understand yourself at a deeper level; it can raise self-awareness by providing insight into your thinking and behaviour. Learning to understand ourselves can be the key to liberating ourselves from unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours. This knowledge is essential for true transformation to occur for it is only when we know better that we can do better. True self-awareness can lead to positive self-development that aligns with your values and life purpose. If you have ever asked yourself “who am I”, “why do I think this way”, “why do I seem to have the same problems time and again” – then counselling may be for you.
We are all unique individuals with our own stories and struggles and there is no “one size fits all approach”. Working in collaboration with you, my interventions will be tailored to suit you and your specific needs and issues. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship where you will feel safe, secure, respected and nurtured. My approach is holistic, person-centred and strengths-based. To support this, I use a range of therapeutic modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Solution Focussed Therapy, along with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy interventions.
I am a culturally sensitive, ethical and non-judgemental therapist who will work with you to achieve positive outcomes that will help you to thrive in all facets of your life. We only have one, right – so let’s make the most of it. I offer my services in both English and Italian.
